Woman Was Struck and Killed by a Car in Maiden, NC on January 16, 2023
Catawba County, NC (January 16, 2023) - The North Carolina State Highway Patrol report that a woman was struck by a car and killed in Catawba County on Monday morning. Just after 6 am, the car accident occurred on East Maiden Road, which is off of US Highway 321, just north of Lincolnton, NC. The highway was blocked off while detectives searched the area.
According to NCSHP, the woman was walking on the road when she was struck by the vehicle. Her identity has not been made available to the public. Authorities stated that the driver did stop and that there were witnesses to the collision.
It is unknown at this time if anyone will be prosecuted for the accident.
