Chapel Hill, NC (June 6, 2024) - According to local news reports, Brianna Nicole Beasley, 26, turned herself in after being identified as the suspect in a hit-and-run accident that injured a bicyclist. The incident occurred around 9:55 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of West Franklin Street and Kenan Street.

Police say Beasley, driving a black, older-model Honda Pilot, initially stopped after striking the bicyclist but then left the scene without providing any information. The vehicle likely sustained damage to the right side doors. The bicyclist was transported to UNC Hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Beasley, who has been charged with felony hit-and-run and unsafe movement, turned herself in on Monday morning, according to the Chapel Hill Police Department. Her vehicle was identified by the North Carolina license plate TFL-4785. Police had released surveillance photos showing Beasley and her car, leading to the issuance of warrants for her arrest.
