How Motorcycle Collision Claims Are Reviewed
After the immediate response to a serious crash, investigators, insurance companies, and those involved may begin reviewing how the collision occurred. Police findings, roadway conditions, vehicle damage, witness accounts, medical records, and applicable traffic rules can all contribute to that review.
Accurate information can be especially important when a car accident involves a motorcycle because the vehicles often sustain different types of damage and the rider may suffer significant injuries. A person considering whether to hire a motorcycle accident lawyer may benefit from organizing photographs, medical documents, insurance correspondence, and information about the crash while those materials remain available.
Liability decisions are not always based on a single fact. The investigation may consider vehicle movements, right of way requirements, driver statements, physical evidence, and whether available records support the reported sequence of events.
