Fayetteville, NC (June 8, 2024) – According to local news sources, a tragic accident occurred just after 2 a.m. on June 8, 2024, involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Grove Street and Ramsey Street. The collision claimed the life of 29-year-old Kamil Lukasinski, a Fayetteville resident.

Emergency responders, including Fayetteville Fire Engine 1, Fayetteville Police, and Cumberland County EMS, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found that Lukasinski had been ejected from his motorcycle after colliding with a Mazda SUV. Authorities reported that Lukasinski was traveling west on Grove Street when he ran a red light at Ramsey Street and struck the SUV, which was making a left turn onto Grove Street.

Lukasinski was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was thrown from his bike upon impact. Despite being rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, he was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries. The occupants of the SUV were not injured in the incident.
