Help at Home After Serious Injuries

Serious crash injuries can change how someone manages everyday activities. During discharge planning, the treating team can explain what help is needed at home and whether a family member or other helper needs instruction.

Assistance with meals or laundry is different from help with personal care. A workable arrangement depends on the tasks involved and the helper's availability. Discussing those needs before leaving the hospital can make the transition home easier.

How Changes in Daily Life May Affect a Claim

Needing help with activities that were once routine can be an important part of an injury's impact. A car accident injury attorney can review those changes along with treatment expenses and pain when assessing a possible claim. The options depend on the circumstances of the collision and available coverage.
