Greenville, NC (June 8, 2024) - According to local news sources, a tragic accident on Highway 903 in Pitt County late Saturday night resulted in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to two others. The incident occurred around 11:48 p.m. when 22-year-old Suhziah Spruill was driving north at a high rate of speed and lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a guardrail.

The vehicle had five passengers, none of whom were wearing seatbelts. All passengers were ejected from the car upon impact. Nykwon Coppedge, 22, Zykhia Connor, 18, and Amoni Spruill, 20, died at the scene. Chasity Kittrell, 20, and Aliana Spruill, 21, were taken to ECU Health Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

After the crash, Suhziah Spruill attempted to stop oncoming traffic by jumping into the roadway but was struck by a Kia Forte and died at the scene. The driver of the Kia Forte will not face charges.

Officials continued their investigation into the crash throughout Sunday.
