When Insurance Benefits End Before Treatment Does
An insurance benefit can reach its limit while someone still needs accident-related care. The benefit limit controls how much that coverage pays; it does not determine whether treatment is complete.
An auto accident lawyer can assess whether unpaid treatment expenses may be included in a claim against a responsible party. That assessment considers the collision, the connection between the injuries and treatment, and the coverage available.
For example, a payment covering an ambulance trip may leave later hospital or follow-up expenses unresolved. Looking at each benefit separately helps explain which expenses it paid and which remain outstanding.
Understanding gaps in coverage for ongoing care can help someone prepare for that discussion. This is a general coverage question; the insurance arrangements of the five people injured in Wilson have not been disclosed.
