Mooresville, NC (October 17, 2026) - Three riders were injured and hospitalized after falling from a horse-drawn wagon at Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, Iredell County, North Carolina, on Saturday. At least one passenger stayed overnight.
According to the ranch, a limb from a nearby tree struck the side of the wagon, causing the horse to jump and three passengers to fall. Emergency medical services transported all three to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
Officials said the injured passengers’ conditions were unavailable Sunday morning. Other passengers were unharmed or declined medical assistance, and the wagon driver was uninjured, according to officials.
The ranch said the horses were evaluated, found to be unharmed and returned to work.
Care Beyond the Initial Hospital Visit
Hospital treatment may be only the first part of recovery after a fall. Any recommended follow-up care can help address continuing concerns and clarify what support is needed. Discharge instructions should identify the next steps and whom to contact with questions.
The three hospital transports after the Lazy 5 Ranch incident reflect the immediate response. For someone who needs further care after an accident, a personal injury lawyer can explain how accident-related treatment expenses may be considered in a possible claim.
Keeping a Claim Informed by Ongoing Care
Later treatment can add information about an injury's effects and costs. If a claim is already underway, new medical information may be among the developments that affect its assessment. An attorney can review that information and explain what it means for the individual case.
