Charlotte, NC (September 25, 2026) - One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer and at least one other car on Interstate 85 South in Charlotte Friday afternoon, according to Medic.

The rollover occurred just north of the Brookshire Boulevard interchange. The tractor-trailer extended across all four southbound lanes. Around 3:30 p.m., officials described the rollover and the lane blockage.

Northbound lanes were also temporarily closed. DriveNC listed four lanes blocked in each direction during the disruption. Southbound Interstate 85 later reopened.

Medic reported that one person received treatment. The injured person’s identity and which vehicle they occupied were not disclosed in the initial account. Officials did not explain what caused the tractor-trailer to overturn or how the other car was involved.

Injury Questions After a Tractor-Trailer Crash

The reopening of I-85 ended the reported southbound closure, but it does not describe the injured person’s recovery. Medic reported non-life-threatening injuries in the tractor-trailer crash. That description does not tell us what treatment was needed afterward or how the injury affected the person’s daily life.

For someone injured in a truck collision, those individual effects matter. Medical care, missed work and changes to normal activities can raise questions that a brief traffic report cannot address. Describing those effects clearly is more useful than assuming a claim’s value from the size of the truck or the number of lanes blocked.

A truck accident lawyer can help connect those questions to the circumstances of the collision. In a crash involving more than one vehicle, the movements of the vehicles and how they came into contact need to be understood. The fact that a tractor-trailer overturned does not, by itself, answer who was responsible.

An injured person does not have to resolve those questions before seeking advice. A conversation can begin with what they experienced and the help they need, then identify which parts of the collision account require further review.

Support Beyond the Initial Crash Response

For someone dealing with an injury after a truck crash, clear answers about a possible claim can help make the next steps less confusing. Questions about treatment expenses or time away from work deserve an explanation based on the person’s circumstances.

Rosensteel Fleishman can help evaluate whether a claim may be available and discuss the information needed to assess it. That conversation can focus on the injury and its effects without making assumptions about responsibility or promising a particular result.
