Coordination problems may affect lifting, carrying, typing, machinery, driving, balance, speed, accuracy, or safety. A future earning-capacity opinion requires more than a symptom label. The file should connect clinical evidence, actual job demands, restrictions, accommodations, performance, and reliable earnings records.

The work-effects file should connect each reported coordination problem to a task, baseline, observed change, provider restriction, employer response, earnings record, and time period.

Map function to actual job duties

  • Job title, essential tasks, tools, pace, precision, lifting, travel, schedule, safety requirements, and pre-crash performance
  • Reported symptom, task attempted, error or limitation observed, help or adaptation, duration, and later response
  • Provider finding, restriction, expected duration if documented, referral, treatment, and reassessment
  • Hours, rate, overtime, leave, missed time, accommodation, modified duty, return attempt, payroll, and tax source

Separate current wage loss from future capacity

Missed wages, reduced hours, leave use, current restriction, job loss, and projected future earning capacity are different issues. Preserve the source and calculation for each. Do not extend a short-term restriction or one difficult task into a permanent conclusion without qualified support.

Use official records for the questions they can answer

HHS explains access and amendment rights for many medical and billing records. See U.S. HHS: Your Medical Records.

North Carolina evidence law supports keeping medical charges and payments reconciled separately from wages. See North Carolina Rule of Evidence 414.

Federal carrier crash records address the collision side of the file and should remain separate from the earnings analysis. See 49 C.F.R. § 390.15.
